Aquamarine

Aquamarine, like Emerald is a member of the beryl family. The name 'aquamarine' was derived from Latin 'aqua marina' or 'water of the sea. Aquamarine can range in colour from light blue to bluish green to a very rare deep blue. Aquamarine has excellent clarity and transparency compared to many other similar gems. While emerald is colored by trace amounts of chromium (and vanadium), aquamarine color is the result of iron impurities within colorless beryl crystal.

Aquamarine is the stone of balance, harmony and protection especially when travelling.
